About

I grew up using my grandfathers cameras and have rarely been without a camera since. Today I am a semi-pro photographer, fitting in my job as a freelance archaeologist with my photography. This enables me to travel throughout the UK so my images range from Scotland to Cornwall.

I shoot predominatly medium format black and white film, using a Pentax 6x7 as my main kit and a Bronica RF for ease of carrying. These cameras give wonderfull detail and tonal depth, with the printing being professionally done on Museo Max gallery grade archival paper.

I try to capture a feel for the land in my work, leading to images that can be very atmospheric, whether sweeping landscapes or the smaller details within those landscapes.

I aim to reply to any queries within 24hrs, however I may be working away so please bear with me and I will contact you ASAP.

Photographs capture more than a scene, they capture sense of place.
