About

I grew up using my grandfathers cameras and have rarely been without a camera since. Today I am a semi-pro photographer and freelance archaeologist, travelling throughout the UK with 'Time Team' over the summer, which allows me to visit and photograph some stunning scenery.

I shoot predominatly medium format black and white film, using a Pentax 6x7 as my main kit and a Bronica 645 rangefinder as a second. These cameras give wonderfull detail and tonal depth, with the printing being professionally done on Museo Max gallery grade archival paper. I also use antique cameras on occasion, such as the lovely 1915 vest pocket folding camera I am currently carrying around.

I try to capture a feel for the land in my work, leading to images that can be very atmospheric, whether sweeping landscapes or the smaller details within those landscapes.

I aim to reply to any queries within 24hrs, however I may be working away so please bear with me and I will contact you ASAP.

Photographs capture more than a scene, they capture sense of place.
