Standing stones and ruined castles

The shot of 'Long Meg' in Cumbria is the first of a series of stone circles and standing stones photographs taken on medium format film that I will be working on in the next couple of weeks.
I am always fascinated by these solid remnants of our past history, partialy because I am an archaeologist by trade but also because they always seem to have such a sense of 'place' when you spend time around them.
I also have a few new films yet to be developed which include a ruined castle or two so again, watch this space, and I will try to get those out in the next month.
