The Abbots Bromley Horn Dance takes place once a year in September. It's the oldest documented traditional dance in England and includes a hobby horse in the ranks of dancers (the rest of whom carry antlers dated to around 1000 AD). This hobby horse costume belonged to the old gentleman who had recently died after 50 years of carrying it. It now hangs on the church wall, retired, while a new horse dances with the new carrier:
